Our team of talented, enthusiastic teachers will help you learn all kinds of new skills. ​

 

From beginner knitting and crochet to jewelry-making, spinning and weaving, we offer a broad selection to suit any skill level.  



Class sizes are small (maximum 6 students) so our students get plenty of individualized attention.  You also receive 10% off class materials when purchased at Lovelyarns.

Learn a new skill​ with one of our fabulous teachers.  Get the basics down with these classes, and then graduate to something more adventurous!

NOTE: You must be paid-up 48hrs before class starts, or we will not hold your spot.

If you must cancel due to unforeseen circumstance, we will work with you to reschedule your class or issue you a store credit for the amount of your class fee.

Learn to Knit*

 Discover a lifelong hobby -- knitting!

We begin this technique course with the basics, such as how to hold the knitting needles and yarn, and progress you through all the basic stitches. This class is taught in the English-style  of knitting (controlling the yarn with your right hand).  Step-by-step, you will learn the skills needed to confidently knit any beginner-level pattern.
  All materials will be included in the class price and no experience is necessary.

Crochet Bootcamp*

Tunisian Crochet*

Learn Tunisian Crochet Basics with Brittni in this fun two hour class!

Tunisian Crochet is like a cross between knitting and crochet and it makes a beautiful fabric which is lovely for garments!

Just learned to knit? This is the class for YOU! Take your knitting to the next level with Sarah who will show you how to create stripes, increase and decrease stitches, make fringe/tassels and learn to read a pattern.

Needle Tatting*

Learn to needle tat! Create lace by forming knots, and string them together into rings and chains. Great for creating applique motifs and decorative edgings. In this class, we will begin with large scale needle tatting to create samplers of techniques.  All materials will be provided for you, just bring yourself and a sense of adventure!

Creepy Crawly Crocheted Socks!

Looking to level up your crochet game? This is the class for you! Learn to make these adorable "Creepy Crawly Spider Socks" by Briana K Designs! You will learn to read a pattern, use stitch markers, crochet in the round, change colors, sock anatomy and more!  

Materials: A copy of the pattern which can be purchased from Ravelry HERE, 2 contrasting colors of fingering weight yarn, 3.5mm & 2.5mm hooks, 2 removable stitch markers, and a tapestry needle to sew in your ends.  Students receive 10% off class materials when purchased at our shop.  

*This class takes place in four two-hour sessions on consecutive Wednesday evenings in October 6pm - 8pm so don't forget to bring a drink and a snack.

My First Knitted Hat*

You will learn to knit in the round, use stitch markers, make decreases and use DPNS.  Materials can be purchased before class with a 10% class discount. You will need worsted weight yarn, size US 8/5mm 16" circular knitting needles, size US 8 DPNs, stitch markers and a tapestry needle.  Students should already be comfortable casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off.

Top Down Raglan Pullover

We LOVE knitting top down raglan pullovers and we think you will love them too! Let Marcia guide you through the sweater knitting process in this three session class. Class will meet for two hours every other week to give you time to knit up to the next "tech area" of your pullover between sessions.

 

Materials: You will need to purchase and print a copy of the "Ladies Classic Pullover" by Jane Richmond from Ravelry.  You will also need 6-10 skeins of worsted weight yarn depending on the size you wish to make along with needles to get gauge.  Materials can be purchased from Lovelyarns with your 10% class discount.  Yarn must be ordered at least 14 DAYS before class begins to ensure that your supplies arrive on time.

Knitting 911: How to fix mistakes*

Dropped stitches got you down? Let Melissa show you how to fix and prevent some of the most common knitting mistakes!

Homework/Materials: Come to class with a couple of 4" swatches knitted up in garter stitch and in stockinette with worsted weight yarn and US8 needles (or similar).

 

You will also need stitch markers, dental floss, a tapestry needle, a US E, F, or G crochet hook, and some knitting needles (US 6, 7, or 8 the needles you used to knit up your swatches).
