These "Bobby Socks 'n' Shoes" booties are the cutest combo: seed stitch “shoes” are knit from the sole to the stockinette sock body and ribbed cuff. Don’t forget to button the strap! FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Foot circumference 4½“/11.5cm Foot length 4”/10cm Materials: 1 ball each of two colors of DK weight yarn, US4 (3.5 mm)needles, US4 (3.5mm) double pointed needles(dpn), stitch markers, and two small buttons. We will work together on constructing one bootie by: 1) Knitting the Garter sole: 2)Picking up stitches around the sole using the dpn to work the sole's trim; 3) Picking up stitches at the base of the trim to work the shoe sides in seed stitch; 4)How to work the instep in the contrast color to form the sock; 5) How to work the strap in the Main Shoe color; 6) How to pick up the stitches to join to the instep and work the remainder of the Rib Sock in the contrast color. The gauge for this Slipper Sock Bootie is: ●22 sts and 32rows/rnds= 4"/10 cm in seed stitch using size US 4(3.5 mm) needles. Seed Stitch Pattern (over an even number of sts) ROW (or RND)1: *K1, p1; rep from * to end(or around). ROW(or RND 2): K the purl and P the knit sts. Repeat row(or rnd)2 for seed stitch pattern. It is best that this design is knit in a firm, slightly tight gauge for a snug fit.
