Service Description

Learn to knit your first cabled hat with Sarah! The "Rhose Trip Hat" was designed by Kara McKinley in 2012 while she was knitting hats for our 500 Hats Project! You can download the pattern from Ravelry here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/rhode-trip-hat and we will have copies printed out for you during class. You will learn cabling, twisting stitches, and decreasing by SSK and K2tog. Homework: With your 16" US8 needles CO 96sts. Join to knit in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches. Place SM to mark beginning of round. Rnd 1: *k2, p2; repeat from * to end of rnd Repeat Rnd 1 five times (6 rows total - approx 1” length). Materials can be purchased before class with a 10% class discount. You will need worsted weight yarn, size US 8/5mm 16" circular knitting needles, size US 8 DPNs, stitch markers and a tapestry needle. Students should already be comfortable casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off.
