Condition Your Knits

Woolen hand knits/crocheted items, over time, can become brittle or scratchy-er. The next time you wash it try this. Along with Eucalan (the lanolin) is a big help add 1-2 tablespoons of organic hair conditioner. Make sure it is sulfite-free. I got mine at Walgreen's and Target.  Make sure you swish the water to dissolve. Let your item soak for 2-3 days. No rinsing necessary. I was AMAZED at how well this works!
