Work up a fun, textured tee for the summer while learning bottom-up construction that can be applied to other tops and sweaters. You'll also learn about German Short Rows for shaping, the German twisted cast-on, and how to read a knitting chart. This class is for advanced beginners/intermediate knitters. You should know how to knit, purl, work in the round, and create a gauge swatch. Materials: Get the pattern for FREE on Ravelry: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/isonoe You will also need the correct amount of Fingering, Sport, or DK weight cotton-blend yarn for your desired size. Find your size by taking your bust measurement and adding 4-6", then matching to the closest measurement below: Sizes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 Measurements: 33 ½ (37 ½ / 41 ¼ / 45 ¼ / 49 ¼), 53 ¼ (57 / 61 / 65 / 68 ¾) Yarn: 820 (885 / 1020 / 1115 / 1235), 1370 (1510 / 1610 / 1710 / 1815) yards of fingering to sport weight yarn. 700 (750/870/950/1050), 1165 (1285/1370/1450) yards of DK weight yarn. US 4 needles on a 24" cable, US 2.5 needles on a 24" cable (or whatever size needle you achieve gauge on plus a needle that is 2 sizes smaller), stitch markers, tapestry needle, scrap yarn or barber cords Materials can be purchased from Lovelyarns with your 10% class discount. Yarn must be ordered at least 14 DAYS before class begins to ensure that your supplies arrive on time. Homework: Make a swatch that is 6 x 6" with main (US 4) needles in moss stitch. Cotton likes to stretch so be sure to soak your swatch in water and then lay it flat to dry for an accurate gauge!
